Makeup artist Tianna Tran keeps busy. Her list of accolades include being a teacher, mother, restaurant owner, and co-founder of a non-profit organization - and those are all in addition to her day job of being a makeup artist. In her line of work, she has worked with major brands like Lululemon and Estee Lauder. We asked her take a break from her busy schedule and share a few insights from her career with us.
What got you started in makeup artistry?
I have always loved make up and wanted to do it 13 years ago but got pregnant with my 1st child, so I had to sacrifice my dreams and be a mom which I absolutely love! After my 2nd child and opening my 3rd restaurant, I decided that I had to follow my dreams and do what I love or I will regret it one day. I did, and absolutely love it.
Tell us about a defining moment in your career.
When I was asked to be a teacher - I get to teach students what I absolutely love and to inspire them and show them the way.
What’s been your most exciting moment so far?
There has been so many that I can’t name just one. But I think when I got to be one of the artist for Lululemon. I’ve always wanted to work for a well-known company.
Where does your inspiration come from?
My inspiration are my children. I want them to know that it’s never to late to follow your dreams and do what you love.
